Gnōbilis Press

    Alastair R Noble

BIOGRAPHY

I am environmental/installation artist and printmaker and have exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally including; Italy, Peru, Chile, Bulgaria, Denmark, UK and the USA. Born in Livepool, after completing my BFA at Hull College of Art I moved to the USA to undertake a MFA in printmaking at Rutgers University, New Jersey. Thereafter I moved to New York City living, working and exhibiting there until I returned to live in Scotland 2018.  Over the years I taught and lectured at numerous colleges, universities and other public institutions. Periodically, I write on sculpture and architecture for art journals, magazines and catalogues, additionally I organize exhibitions on the language of mapping that complements my own research and art practice.  Two years ago I established Gnōbilis Press as a means to promote and distribute my artist's books and prints.
